SEVENTH EDITION OF THE UNDERWATER ARCHAEOLOGY FIELD SCHOOL
The second campaign of the seventh edition of the field school will take place from September 2nd to 22nd in San Vito Lo Capo, in the province of #Trapani (#Sicily).

Our #underwater #archaeology field school is designed for students, professionals, and amateurs of any level to make them discover every aspect of this exciting discipline, through the active participation in surveying, uncovering and recording of actual archaeological finds. It will offer lectures, training #dives, fieldwork dives, simulations on land and laboratories.
At the end of the field school, each student will receive the #ARCHAEOLOGY #DIVER WASE DivEducation license and a certificate of participation of the Superintendency of the Sea of the Sicily Region (Soprintendenza del Mare).

The research activity started in 2013 with a systematic survey of the seabed that aims to shed new light on the underwater archaeological heritage of the Gulf with the help of the latest technologies.
The field school is organized by Glaucos a.s.d. – within the San Vito lo Capo Underwater Project, which was conceived and led by Giano s.n.c. and by the Sea Diver – San Vito Lo Capo Diving Center – under the scientific direction of the Superintendency of the Sea of the Sicilian Region Department of Cultural Heritage and Sicilian Identity.
